Blind Squirrel Games was contracted by 2K Games and Gearbox to remaster and port the classic X360/PS3 title to Xbox One and PS4 at 4K Resolution, HDR, and 60 FPS.

Engineering

  • Engine port to PS4/XB1
  • Added DirectX11 support
  • Render pipeline multithreading and performance optimization
  • Dynamic resolution for 60 FPS @ 4K
  • Cross-save game functionality from PS3/XBox360 to the new version of the game
  • Ultra-widescreen UI support

  • In-game art asset remastering and re-imagining
  • Environment
  • UX/UI, including updating the HUD and UI to match Borderlands 2
  • Characters + Weapons
